Location Management

What a Location Means

A location is a place or unit in your company where orders and budgets are managed.

Each location is used for:

  • assigning users
  • managing budgets
  • tracking order activity

Where to Manage Locations

In the app panel, open Locations.

From there you can:

  • view all locations
  • create a new location
  • open a location to see details
  • edit, delete, or restore locations (if your role allows)

Create a New Location

Go to Locations → Create Location.

The create form can include:

  • location details (name, phone, locale, note, external reference)
  • buyer setup options (for checkout and payment terms)
  • tax details
  • shipping address
  • billing address (or same as shipping)

Important:

  • the location is always created under your currently selected company
  • location can be set active during creation

Edit or Remove a Location

For an existing location, users with permission can:

  • edit location details
  • delete location
  • permanently delete location
  • restore deleted location

Deleted locations can still be recovered when restore is available.

Users and Budgets in a Location

Inside each location, you get dedicated sections for:

  • Location Users
  • Budgets

This allows teams to manage who works in that location and what budget limits apply.

What You Can See on Location Details

The location details page shows local and synced information, such as:

  • name and active/inactive status
  • Shopify location ID
  • shipping and billing details
  • buyer configuration and payment-related details
  • tax information (if available)

If Shopify data is not available yet, the page shows clear fallback messages.

Who Can Manage Locations

Based on current role rules:

  • Company Admin
    • can create, edit, delete, restore, and permanently delete locations
  • Other roles
    • usually have view-only access to location records

For related sections:

  • location users can be managed by Company Admin (and limited role cases where allowed)
  • location budgets can be managed by Company Admin and allowed Budget Admin scope

Simple Tips

  • Use clear location names so teams can select the right one quickly.
  • Keep location status accurate (active/inactive) to avoid confusion.
  • Review location users regularly.
  • Confirm budget setup for each active location before order activity starts.
